Fifty-four of the fifty-five African countries which make up the African Union have signed the African Continental Free-trade Area (AfCFTA) agreement, which is focused on stimulating growth, creating employment and diversifying economies across Africa - a market of 1.2 billion people with a combined GDP in excess of $3trillion dollars. This agreement has created vast opportunities for cross border trade.
This first episode of the AfCFTA discourse with Stanbic IBTC discussed the key points of this agreement in details.
HOST: Dr Bamidele Ayemibo, Lead Consultant, 3T Impex Consulting.
